Find out what you actually have.

People inherit collections. People find a box in a closet. People have one card and no idea whether it’s worth fifty cents or five hundred dollars. Alan and Matt will look at it and tell you straight.

Three ways people use it

Bring us a card, a box, or a whole basement

Paid

Collection appraisal

A full pass through a collection with a written value on it. This is the one people need for insurance, for an estate, or for splitting things up in a family.

Quick read

Single card

One card, two questions: what’s it worth, and is it worth grading? We’ll look at centering, corners and surface, tell you what a grade would likely come back as, and whether the bump in value covers the cost of sending it in.

Guidance

Sell, consign, or hold

The strategy conversation. Some cards should be sold today, some are better consigned one at a time, and some you should hang onto. We’ll tell you which is which, including when the answer is “don’t sell this to us.”

What it costs

The fee depends on the size of it, and you know it before we start.

A single-card read and a card-by-card pass through an inherited collection aren’t the same job, so they don’t carry the same fee. Tell us roughly what’s there and we’ll quote you a number up front. Nothing gets looked at until you’ve agreed to it, and there’s no invoice at the end you didn’t see coming.

For larger collections that need us to come out in person, there’s a small fee. Part of this is waived if we end up buying the collection.

How it works

A look, a number, and a recommendation

01

Tell us what you’re looking at

A single card, a shoebox, a room. Email us photos and roughly what’s there. If it’s a large collection, say so up front. That changes whether we can do this by email or need to come see it.

02

We agree on scope and fee first

Before anyone looks at anything, you know what it costs and what you get. No surprise invoice at the end.

03

You get a number and a recommendation

What it’s worth, and what we’d do if it were ours: sell, consign, grade, or leave it alone. If we’d be interested in buying it, we’ll say that too, and you’re under no obligation either way.

No idea where to start

Bring us the box.

Even if you have no idea what’s in it. Especially then. Honestly, that’s the call we like getting most.
